Milk Thistle sprouts from the ground covered in large, sharp prickle type thorns. These thorns are found all over the plant, including the leaves. However, once mature, a beautiful sight emerges. Large pink blooms cover the star shape flower heads. The Milk Thistle owns it thorns. God is asking us to do the same - own our thorns. Without its thorns the Milk Thistle woulnd't have survived into maturity. It is part of who it is - and part of its beauty.
